There are two ways to lock the vehicle without arming the interior motion sensor:

• Press the lock switch on the smart key once.
• Press the lock switch on a door handle once*.

The vehicle will lock. The interior motion sensor is disabled. The tilt sensor is disabled. The interior door handles remain enabled. The alarm will sound if a door is opened.

The interior motion sensor should be disabled if the vehicle is locked with the windows open or animals inside the vehicle.

* Applicable to vehicles with keyless entry only. Keyless entry is also known as passive entry.
