This warning message is displayed when the tyre pressure monitoring system has been set to normal load, and does not indicate a fault. The message is displayed briefly every time the vehicle is started to remind the driver of the current setting.
The current setting must be consistent with the current tyre pressure values so that the tyre pressure monitoring system can accurately recognise any deviation in pressure. If a different load setting is required, the tyre pressures should be adjusted to the appropriate values and the tyre pressure monitoring system should to set to the relevant mode.
The two sets of tyre pressure values are listed on a label on the driver's side B-pillar.
To change the load setting, perform the following steps using the steering wheel left switchpack and the instrument cluster menus:
The settings for vehicles in the North American market are Normal load and Light load.
The settings for vehicles in all other markets are Heavy load and Light load.
