This warning message is displayed when the brake pedal has not been pressed, or not pressed hard enough, when attempting to start the engine. If the brake pedal feels firmer than normal, the brake servo assistance is depleted (possibly by pressing the brake pedal when the engine was off).

To start the engine, press the brake pedal as hard as possible and press the engine start switch. Normal starting will resume after successfully starting this time.
