This warning message is displayed when the steering lock has failed to disengage when unlocking the vehicle, and engine starting will be inhibited. This can by caused by a front wheel touching the kerb and applying a force to the steering.

To disengage the steering lock, attempt to turn the steering wheel whilst pressing the engine start switch. If the engine starts, the steering lock has successfully disengaged.
