The steering lock should disengage automatically when the vehicle is unlocked. The steering lock may remain engaged if a front wheel touching the kerb and applying a force to the steering.

To disengage the steering lock, turn the steering wheel slightly whilst pressing the engine start switch.

The engine will not start when the steering lock is engaged.
