A buzz from the lower fascia for ten seconds indicates that the battery in the remote handset requires replacement. The immobiliser indicator on the instrument cluster flashes as the buzzer sounds.

After renewing the battery, the remote handset must be synchronised with the vehicle by pressing the handset unlock switch five times in quick succession.
